  1. Stephen, I have to thank you so much for your uploads. I’ve found your videos just by randomly searching on the net, at a moment where i was finding myself a bit “stuck”, so to say, in this early stage of my graphic design school.

To explain a bit better, I live in Paris for a few years and recently enrolled as a graphic designer student here. But being Portuguese I was brought up with american and english culture — Television isn’t dubbed in Portugal — a lot. Talking about the 80’s, 90’s… The result was that from an early age, all software, music and film that I absorbed has always been in its original language. Not surprising that I’ve managed to pick up 5 languages that I fluently speak.

To resume …You can’t imagine how difficult and boring this Graphic Design school can get when seen by the perspective of the french. their tutorials, and how they make something that should be creatively fun into something so dull…

And I’m talking about the capital of arts (!), so they say… That american fun, practical, bold side of seeing life, in all aspects, and even the sarcastic british approach on comedy…. that the french lack so much …has recently started to create a big big void on my scholarship…

fast forward to present time and, really, I found in your videos, as simple as they are, a loaf of fresh air … Cheers man … You have been a big , BIG help !!!

  2. I think it’s amazing that you take your time to share what you know, finding a quality elaborate tutorial out there is hard, when I search and can’t find a Stephen Looney tutorial, it sucks!

Done some amazing stuff having never used some adobe suits before but with your tutorials. I pulled it off.
