Adobe Illustrator – How To Correctly Add A Bleed

In this video tutorial we are going to explain how to add a bleed to your document. Adding a bleed on your Graphic Design document is extremely important if you have images and colors bleeding to the edge. You must give at least 1/8″ to 1/4″ for a printer to correctly cut into your piece.

  1. Hello there,

I really like your tutorials and tips and they have helped me A LOT!!!
I never went to a design school, self tutoring and determination got me where I am today.

Please keep up the good stuff because I visit your website everyday to see what’s new to learn.

    Thanks

  2. Hello Stephen, I am a webmaster by profession. Now I am quietly getting into the designing (graphic) world too! Can you please guide me how to setup Bleeds, Margins in AI for multiple pages. I don’t want my texts and images to be cutoff while in the printing process. Thank you.
