Welcome to episode 7 of Layout Design Bootcamp where my goal is to take you through entire design layouts to show you the exact process of how it’s done. In this seventh episode, I continued to implement the brand of “Galaxy Gym” that I developed in Logo Design Bootcamp Episode number 7. I decided to design a brochure that would advertise the company. This brochure is targeted at any individual looking to become healthier and save money from the the expensive gym chains like they are used to. This tutorial will teach you so many things including:
- Understand rulers/hides
- Processing multiple images
- Creating a custom map
- Brush stroke effect
- Continuity of design
- Adding a glowing effect
- Object transparencies
- Making irregular text boxes
- Creating an eye catching burst
- Finding dummy text
- Clipping masks galore
- Adding Bleed For Print
- and of course…..much more!
Sir,
Thanks! more..

I really enjoyed your tutorial for this topic and thanks for sharing it to us. But as much as I wanted to download the accompanying file for this tutorial, it won’t work.
Hence, can you please send me the accompanying file directly to my email address?

Sabrina, I am happy you are learning from my tutorials. Best of luck to you and thanks for stopping by to comment.
hi Stephen, first of all i thank you for sharing your creative work with us your lessons are clear, easy to understand and of course owe some. i do some graphic designing for some of my friends as a hobby though i am not much experienced designer.
My curiosity is, How to make big banners and how to incorporate images. I found some stuffs on Google that says i should work in half size or 1/4 etc size. Here what leaves me blind is, in that case how do i calculate my images to appear fine in final size??? is it ok to use transparency?? can i use spot color for that??
I strongly believe you definitely have the experience of this kind of stuff, would you please share with me and help me out of this blindness
Thanks in Advance
Kind Regards
Arjun Giri
Arjun thank you for commenting. Try looking at Episode 17 of Layout Design Bootcamp – Billboard Design. You can definitely work at a fraction of the size, but make sure your Images are large enough so when it is scaled up you still have a high resolution.
Thanks a lot sir, your tutorials are really nice n easy to understand.

Stephen,
First off, let me tell you that your tutorials are very helpful. All you do is truly appreciated. I’ve learned a lot from following along with your videos. I just recently got put in a position where I have switched roles from being a Deputy Sheriff who patrols the streets, to a Deputy Sheriff that has placed his “graphic designer” hat on, and is expected to create flyers, brochures, banners, etc., to promote our department. Your tutorials couldn’t come at a better time. Thank you once again!!
Sir could you give me the layout design of 4″ x 25.5″ or 11″ x 25.5″ trifold brochure?
Hi, Steev.
